Assessing the Effects of Different Fillers and Moisture on Asphalt Mixtures’ Mechanical Properties and Performance

This laboratory study was conducted to comparatively assess the effects of different fillers and moisture on mechanical properties performance asphalt mixtures. In study, a typical Pen70 base modified with four filler materials, namely limestone powder, cement, slaked (hydrated) lime, brake pad produce mortars that were subsequently used prepare Thereafter, various tests, dynamic uniaxial repeated compressive loading, freeze-thaw splitting, semicircular bending (SCB) evaluate sensitivity, high-temperature stability, low-temperature cracking, fatigue mixtures before after being subjected water saturation conditions. Overall, results indicated superior tolerance, damage resistance, for consecutively followed by powder.
